Academic Folk Choir®
Academic Folk Choir® is the latest creative project of Prof. Kostadin Buradzhiev, Ph.D. The formation is composed of singers who graduated from the Academy of Music in Plovdiv.
The palette of voices allows for a repertoire with a much broader spectrum, including not only folk, but also orthodox works by Bulgarian and Russian composers.
The Conductor
Prof. Kostadin Buradjiev, Ph.D. is a distinguished Bulgarian conductor and composer who has made a significant contribution to the development of choral art. With more than 1,000 concerts and numerous awards, he has directed the Dobrudja Ensemble and taught conducting folklore ensembles at AMDFA “Prof. Assen Diamandiev” – Plovdiv.
Since 2023 he has continued his career with the Academic Folk Choir®, combining tradition and innovation in music.
