Academic Folk Choir®

Orthodox concert at Eglise St. Elisabeth de Hongrie, Paris

On March 2, 2024, the Academic Folk Choir® performed its first concert to a packed Eglise St. Elisabeth de Honrie in Paris in front of French and Bulgarian audience. The concert’s program, entitled Mysteres des Temps, featured Church Slavonic hymns by Bulgarian and Russian composers.

„High class, enviable craftsmanship, perfectionism and above all enormous talent were shown tonight in Paris by the Academic folk choir, represented by graduated, professional singers, with conductor and director Prof. Kostadin Buradzhiev. It is beyond my mind how in one month, despite all the difficulties and financial obstacles encountered, this choir prepared the first of its two concerts – church hymns.

In the rainy grey Paris, this choir lifted the spirits to the heavenly places today with a beautifully selected repertoire, a test even for proven singing formations.

Infallible, golden Bulgarian voices that penetrated to our hearts and imbued our souls with Divine love.

I would like to express my amazement with the BEAUTIFUL soloists of the choir – Antoaneta Yordanova, Sofia Glavopoulou again, and Stanimira Manolova – you girls are stellar !!!
