Academic Folk Choir®
Academic Folk Choir® is the new choral formation of prof. Kostadin Buradzhiev, Ph.D.
The formation was established in October 2023. It is a continuation of the vocal and interpretive vision, style and manner of work developed during his 20 years of leadership of the student folk choir at AMTII “Prof. Asen Diamandiev” – Plovdiv.
In its short existence Academic Folk Choir® has already had impressive performances – concerts in Plovdiv, two concerts in Paris (2 and 3 March 2024) and a successful first recording session. The formation is made up of former students of AMTII “Prof. Assen Diamandiev”, but with a much broader repertoire, including not only folklore, but also orthodox works by Bulgarian and Russian authors.

Stanimira Manolova was a member of the Children’s Chor “Prof. G. Dimitrov” – Yambol.
She graduated from AMTII – Plovdiv with a degree in Classical singing. Immediately afterwards she completed a postgraduate qualification – Teacher of Classical Singing. She studied conducting and graduated with honors in the class of Assoc. Prof. Krikor Cetinyan.
Later she obtained a master’s degree – Conductor under Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vesela Geleva.
